OSAI SyncMotion is the PC-based and completely OPEN automation system for the control and visualization of general technical processes in machine, factory, process or building automation.
A standard PC hardware platform gives maximum benefits in terms of power, computational speed, cost effectiveness and availability of standard peripherals. The low-power CPU (without fan) and the solid state disk ensure reliability in industrial environments.
WindowsCE.Net 4.2 the embedded operating system from Microsoft ensures reliability, performance and a high level real-time.
This new automation solution is available as a PanelPC with 6.4", 10.4", 12.1" or 15" TFT and touch screen, ideal for mounting on the machine, or as a black box, if the customer wants to take care of the operator interface on his own.
SoftPLC: the integrated SoftPLC run-time module is designed for complex and time critical operation.
The engineering tool is a user friendly, graphic oriented environment allowing high level and multitasking, IEC 61131-3 compliant programming. Users can choose from five different programming languages to best fit their preference and the application.: Instruction list, Ladder Diagram, Function Block, Structured Text or Sequential Flow Chart.
The standard IEC61131-3 libraries are complemented by a continuously expanding motion control library. Tasks such as synchronised axes, homing, positioning, velocity or torque control, master slave synchronisation are just a few of the axes function blocks included in the motion library.
A symbolic debugger allows step by step execution, breakpoint setting and variable values to be monitored at run-time. Application downloading and debugging is based on a standard Ethernet TCP/IP communication between the engineering tool and the control unit.
Fieldbus: OSAI SyncMotion includes a CANopen master interface which runs on a dedicated processor to avoid overloading the main system CPU.
Distributed modular I/O's and intelligent brushless drives are connected directly to the CANopen. A standard configuration tool, accessible from the SoftPLC engineering tool, can be used to setup the CANopen network and to add any third party, standard devices.
HMI: automation also requires a sophisticated user interface. OSAI SyncMotion supports our own WinNBI user interface along with MoviconCEOnBoard, a run-time module of Movicon9.1 a SCADA software and HMI visualisation tool. WinNBI, Movicon and the SoftPLC development tools all run on a standard PC under Windows 2000 or XP operating systems.
